The other day I was pondering about what would be the best laptop processor or best laptop cpu to have in a new laptop.  So I started to do a little research on current laptop cpu's.  I wanted good performance but at a reasonable price.  Than after doing some research for a few days, I realized that was not what I wanted at all. Maybe the best laptop processor or the best laptop cpu was not what I was looking for at all.

Presently Intel holds the dominating position for the best laptop processor as far as performance goes. Intel's Core 2 Duo processors outperform AMD processors hands down. AMD is just not up to par on laptop processors when performance counts.  Like for serious gamers.

Cool Tip:  Intel CPU chips outperform AMD CPU chips.  However, you most likely would not notice it unless you were a serious gamer.  You can save a lot of money by going for a nice performing AMD CPU.  Laptop CPU upgrade can improve your laptop performance.

However, like most people who are looking for a laptop to purchase you might want a bargain processor. This is one component that greatly affects the over all price of a laptop computer. For most laptop users performance in a laptop is not on the top of the list when hunting for a notebook.

The best laptop processor or the best laptop cpu is only going to play an important role if you plan on using your laptop computer as a high end gaming laptop. Or as your primary machine and you will be running a lot of multimedia applications. Without a top of the line processor, your laptop is mostly likely to slow down a lot during heavy cpu loads. If you plan on having numerous multimedia applications open and playing high end games, than look for the Intel Core 2 Duo cpu T7xxx series chips.

If you are looking for a bargain which most of us are, look at AMD processor chips. You could even look at older Intel processor chips. This will save you a lot of dollars when buying a laptop computer. These will work fine for normal daily laptop computer operations. Like email, Internet surfing, word processing, spread sheets and low end games.

When hunting for a new laptop computer keep in mine the laptop processor or CPU that is being package along with it. There really is only two ways to go. Budget Laptop or a performance laptop. The bottom price will reflect the cost of the CPU that is being used in the laptop.
